1991 Air Jordan VI 6 - This was the Bull's year to win from the onset, with a regular season record of 61-21 that doesn't even do justice to how dominant the team and Michael Jordan were that season. They often had huge double digit leads by the third quarter and Phil Jackson (Chicago BUlls Coach) would play his secondary squad for the 4th quarter. Yup, it was a good year to be the 12th man on the bench for the Chicago Bulls in 90-91.
The Chicago Bulls beat the New York Knicks 3-0 in the first round of playoffs, then they beat the Philadelphia 76ers 4-1, then they swept their enemies the Detroit Pistons in 4 games for the Eastern Confrence finals. Michael Jordan then faced the legendary Magic Johnson in the 1990-1991 finals and killed them 4-1 to go on and win their first ever NBA Championship title.
The Air Jordan 6's were very popular shoes in 1991, they featured two eye holes in the tongue and a visible air unit in the heel of the sole. They originally sold for $125 in stores and then were reissued in 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2005. These shoes are a personal favorite of mine among all the air jordan shoes. If you get a pair of Air Jordan 5's and wear them with shorts on, its very obvious that you're wearing a pair of 1980's sneakers. But the Air Jordan 6's are very sleek and modern and the two holes in the tongue are also sexy. That topped off with the fact that Michael Jordan won his first NBA championship wearing these shoes make them my all time favorite.
