1997 Air Jordan XII 12 - Yet another pair of shoes Michael Jordan wore while winning the NBA Championship. These playoffs had very memorable moments including the Game 6 win when Michael Jordan was sick with the flu virus but still managed to score 38 points in a winning effort.

The Air Jordan 12's came in 5 original colorways including black & red, white & black and blue & white. They were then retro'd in 2003 & 2004 in several funky colors like pink & orange. The Air Jordan 12's feature a reptile like skin material around the front sides of the shoes, the extra material gives added reinforcement while also making the shoe easily distinguishable from a cosmetics perspective.

I bought these shoes when they first came out and wore them during a high school basketball season, they were great because the traction and support, however they were a bit heavy. The Air Jordan 12's also feature the Zoom Air technology which is the first time the Air Jordan line started using Zoom Air. Towards the end of the season, the padding around the support for ther heel had worn down considerably and I started getting blisters, so I ended up having to replace them before season's end. However it is my understanding that the retro issues had fixed this problem making the shoe much more durable. One last thing of note, the shoe does not have an inner sock, so if you're used to playing with a very snug fit, then this shoe will feel like it's going to slip right off your foot.
