Air Jordan XVI 16 - These nike air jordans were the shoes Michael Jordan wore when he first went back and started playing with the Washington Wizards. He was part owner and they were a young team without a solid leader who could show the way, so Michael Jordan laced up his shoes once more to help this young team. Unfortunately things didnt quite work out well, the team didnt make the playoffs and Jordan was clearly showing signs of aging.

However I'm not one of the people who thought Jordan should have never came out of retirement to play for the wizards. My reason for being happy that he came back to play again was simple, I am selfish. I watched Michael Jordan play on the TV year in and year out, but never had the chance to go see him play. When he was with washington I was older and could afford to hop on a plane and go see a game.

The other reason I like these shoes is that I wore them to my high school graduation. I had a black suite, wore the straps over the laces and with the patent leather on the toe people thought I was wearing normal tuxedo shoes. Comfort & style all in one! These shoes don't have the best traction, so I never use them to play ball, however they are very durable. I bought these shoes off the shelf (I beleive) on the first day they came out, which would have been back in 2001. To this day I still wear these shoes regularily. With a little maitenance these shoes have kept up VERY well and I will continue wearing them untill the soles are wore down.
