To help raise funds for research, Nike teams up with Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. The joint effort is expected to raise enough funds to help poverty stricken children get the medical help they need. All the sales of the 5 shoes that are set to be released on November 14, 2008 will go to the children’s funds.

Tony “Mr Boober” Taylor Jr., together with designers Estelle Maranan and Jason Mayden, came up with the designs of the shoes. The tongue features a cartoon of Mr. Boober, while the Air Jordan logo can be found on the soles of the shoes.
