Air Jordan Legace

The Air Jordan legace started out with a skinny kid coming out of university and looking for a shoe deal. That skinny kid was Michael jordan fresh from North Caroline university. He wanted to get a deal with Converse, but they already had all the superstars they needed so they offered him a uncompetitive deal that Michael Jordan had to turn down. His other options included Nike and Addidas. Addidas offered an even worse deal then Converse and Nike seemed to be the only team who was seriously interestd in working with Michael Jordan. So reluctantly Michael Jordan took the offer and the era began.

Controversy, world wide sales, ups and downs, accoalades and resentment are all things the Air Jordan franchise has survived time after time. Many times the design team at Air Jordan have released shoes which were so innovative, so creative and so far from what any other shoe company was doing at the time, that they were simply, ahead of their time. Sales of Air Jordans world wide are as strong as they ever have been and thats in large part due to the retro re-issuing of new colorways of past Air Jordans.

Although Chuck Taylor's may have been around much longer, they have never seen the ups and downs that the Air Jordan's have. That's why I love Air Jordan's and I hope their legace continues to prosper so that even my children and grand children wear them at their high school basketball games.
