Air Jordan 11 (XI)
Air Jordan 11 (XI) - Fresh off of a disappointing loss in the playoffs the previous year, a bigger and stronger Michael Jordan takes the court in 1996. The Bulls acquired the rebound maniac known as Dennis Rodman. This gave the Chicago Bulls the missing link they had needed the previous season. And with a vengeance, they dominated the regular season winning 72 games, beating the old record set by Wilt Chamberlain & Jerry West’s 71-21 LA Lakers team.
The Air Jordan 11’s are a marvel to look at. The lightest Air Jordan’s ever made, and also a heavy favorite among sneaker collectors. They feature black patent leather and the Jumpman on the top of the heel. Wearing the Air Jordan 11’s, Michael Jordan won back the imagination and confidence of his fans that he was still the most dominant player in the league. The Chicago Bulls went on to win their 4th NBA championship.
Inspired by a pair of tuxedo shoes, the Air Jordan 11’s feature the patent leather right around the mid sole region of the shoe, they were originally released in 1995 but then retro’d in 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2005.
